ACTRESSES WHO ARE DUE FOR MARRIAGE

These are beautiful and talented actresses that have contributed immensely to the spectacular development of the Nigerian movie industry otherwise known as Nollywood. However, despite their comfortable life-style and achievements, one would wonder why they are yet to walk down the aisle with their heartthrobs, in view of the fact that age is gradually catching up with them. This week, www.nollywoodgists.com focuses on these delectable Nigerian actresses who are due for marriage but are neither giving it a thought nor losing sleep over it:

•LILLIAN BACH: This beautiful mulatto has played a great role in the development of Nollywood. Apart from her sexy physique, Lilian's dexterity in interpreting movie scripts has gone along way in caterpaulting her to stardom. And as if that is not enough, she still combines her acting prowess with music and modelling. She is yet to find her 'Mr. Right.'

•OBY EDOZIEH: She has a very good stature, sexy and beautiful. Since Shola Fasudo introduced her to acting a few years back, her profile has been rising steadily. Oby is an actress that will never be in a rush to settle down. She once told NollywoodReel that until she finds the right choice, she will never be in a hurry to get married.

•COSSY ORJIAKOR: This sensationally 'booby' actress shook the showbiz industry some years ago because she was always making the headlines for the wrong reasons with the wanton display of her enormous boobs. However, of late, she has stopped flaunting her 'booby endowments'. Cossy is now a proud owner of landed properties in highbrow parts of Lagos. Though she is also yet to marry, there are rumours that she is planning a secret wedding.

•RITA DOMINIC: This is another sultry actress that has performed very well in Nollywood. Rita has been romantically linked with Jim Iyke and Super Eagles/Everton of England defender, Joseph Yobo. She has not found her 'Mr. Right' too.

•TRICIA ESIEGBE: Tricia is a very brilliant actress cum TV presenter. She was encouraged by the late JT Tom West to start her popular television programme, Bold Faces; a programme she has also been using to promote Nollywood. Sources told NollywoodReel that she was about getting married to JT before his sudden and tragic death last year.

•EMEM ISONG: Creative and industrious producer cum actress, Emem Isong, is on the list of Nollywood female personalities that are yet to settle down. Her contributions to Nollywood's success cannot be underestimated.

•NIKE PELLER: This daughter of the late popular magician, Professor Peller, has come a long way in the Nigerian movie industry. The light complexion actress, who has just returned from pilgrimage to Mecca, is yet to settle down.

•MUMA GEE: Though Muma Gee might have got her fame through music, she has been an actress. The kade (move on) crooner, also referred to as the Nubian Queen, has made her mark in the showbiz world. However, she is yet to get married.

RONNIE DIKKO: Though she was good at playing the role of Peju, a dutiful housewife and quintessential mother in Family Circle, a Tajudeen Adepetu soap which ruled the airwaves in the 90s, most of Ronnie's fans can't believe that she hasn't settled down as a happily married woman, a role she plays so well in the make-believe business.

NGOZI NWOSU: Also one of the oldest 'spinsters' in Nollywood, the robust cross-over actress, who has a passion for drinking and smoking, is yet to find a 'Mr. Right' even with her success in the industry

UCHE JOMBO: Pretty Uche Jombo is currently one of the hottest actresses to look out for this 2007. From a very humble beginning, Jombo, an indigene of Abiriba, Abia state, has risen to the top of her career with a lot of movies to her credit. Interestingly too, Jombo who is also a producer is among the hottest spinsters in Tinsel town.

GRACE AMAH: Hate or like her, one thing you can't take away from petite Amah is that she is a bundle of talent with a fan base that cuts across the nation's border. Ebonyi State born Amah, despite several setbacks has been able to sail through the stormy weathers of Nollywood to maintain a top position. She is unarguably one of the faces to look out for in Nollywood this 2007. Moreover, her single status also gives her an edge.

MERCY JOHNSON: This rave of the moment would surely have a rollicking time this 2007. Dark skinned and busty Johnson from Kogi state, since her arrival few years ago, has continuously proved that she is the hottest kid on the block with the many movie roles she has been grabbing from left, right and centre. Aside being hot, single and daring, she has also been dubbed the most controversial up and coming actress in recent times.

MARYLYN IZE IYAMU: Her exploits in monster hit JADON, shot her to acting limelight last year and ever since, she has not stopped thrilling movie buffs with her acting prowess and panache. From a royal background in Edo State, the slim-built and sensuous starlet is really set to make bold statements in Nollywood this 2007. Interestingly too, the soft spoken role interpreter, is also a run-way model, plying her trade both home and abroad. Currently on holiday in Gabon.

INI EDO: Weird and zany actress Ini Edo is another actress to look out for this 2007. Tongues are even wagging that she is likely going to secretly wed lewd crooner D'banj this New Year. Marriage or not, the controversial and skimpy clothes loving actress from Akwa-Ibom State is no doubt a force to reckon with in Tinsel town this New Year and even beyond.
Little wonder, she is being touted as the new queen of the tube, but her controversial nature might be her Achilles' heel.

YVONNE JEGEDE: This is another starlet to watch out for this new year. Edo state born Jegede passionately combines beauty and brains, which is very rare among her contemporaries. Since her wondrous appearance in Missing Angela, few years ago, she has not stopped occupying a front row in Tinsel town.

UCHE IWUJI: Her short-lived romance with Super Eagles and Everton of England rock solid defender –Joseph Yobo – is still fresh in the memory of her teeming fans. Very controversial but quiet Iwuji, is another top spinster in Nollywood, many would see in another vista, this 2007. In fact, there is even rumour of a quiet reconciliation with ex-heart-throbber – Yobo. Time will surely tell. Yobo or not, men are still queuing to occupy her delicate heart.

QUEEN EBIGIESON: Ebony skinned and sexy Ebigieson is no doubt representing her ancient Benin Kingdom very boldly in Nollywood. Since her arrival, almost five years ago, the star of several top movies has consistently been at the top of her thriving career.
Watch out for her bold steps this 2007 and even beyond.
