Port Harcourt – Following the bomb scare at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Wednesday, Nollywood Actress Hilda Dokubo, has rejected newspaper reports, that she was arrested, insisting that she could not have been arrested and was never arrested.

The actress had boarded a plane at the Port Harcourt International Airport on her way to Lagos on Wednesday, when she suddenly received a phone call telling her to disembark from the plane, that a bomb had been planted on the aircraft.

Dokubo told Vanguard in Port Harcourt, yesterday, that she reported the matter to airport authorities and a discreet search led to the arrest of the caller at a hotel in Abuja.

“Does that amount to an arrest. You have done great disservice to my reputation and I insist you correct what you had written about me.

I received a phone call while I had just boarded the plane and the guy said 'get out of that aircraft now! And I asked, who are you and why should I do that. He mentioned his name and I said, excuse me, what did you say your name was.

“He mentioned his name again and said 'I have just been informed that you have just boarded that flight and the boys cannot do what they have to do because you are on the flight because they said they cannot see me go down.'

“At that point, I told him that there were children on the flight and he cannot destroy the lives of this innocent children just like that and he shouted 'get out, get out, get out' and all that,” she added.

The secret police said in a statement that the call had been traced to a five-star hotel in the capital Abuja and a man had been arrested.

"During interrogation, the subject claimed that he had called the passenger based on a vision from God," the statement said.

"He also claimed that he is Jesus Christ who died 2 000 years ago. It then became apparent that he is mentally unstable.

"He is, accordingly, presently receiving medical attention."
