THE HOMOSEXUAL TREND, NAIJA EDITION. CHOICE OR NOT?

Source: Miss Nenny!/Nollywoodgists.com

What happened to the days when we used to keep our sexual business behind closed doors, straight or gay?

I am not sure what has transpired in the last few decades but Nigeria has made a complete turn (and to be honest, I am not sure if it's for the worse or better, it's just a change that might be a bit unsettling).

I never knew a Nigeria where lesbianism and homosexuality would be so common that we now have gay designated clubs. It is now common to see two guys kissing and fondling each other in public, and even on the freaking television. Like seriously, what is this all about?

We have ceased to be that conservative country with such high morals that now we have started to air our dirty laundry in public.

Let it be known, I do not have any problem or issues against guys or females who want to explore their sexual desires, in fact I respect every individual regardless of their sexual orientation. But please can we be more discreet in our dealings.

Lets face it, in Nigeria we like to believe we have built this country on religious faith and terms and so I am not aware of any religion that promotes homosexuality or reckless sexual behavior (if your straight).

I don't want to come across as a gay basher because to be honest, I couldn't care less, I just think we should keep our bedroom business private.

I have a male friend who has been so harassed by Naija guys even in nightclubs, to sleep with him or perform oral sex on him. No joke!

I am also aware that in some boarding schools (I won't mention names), it's almost like a trend to have sex with fellow boys, because they believe it is more satisfying than a female.
Sad to say, there was an incident whereby a junior boarding student was raped by his own school father several times.

What are we turning to? Let us respect one another and try to be more reserved in our freaky dealings.
If you are gay, cool! Just respect yourself enough and try not to impose it in others.

And if you are straight, cool! Try to respect yourself in public as well.

Even lesbianism is another in thing as well, to be honest as a lady; it makes no sense why a woman would think that another woman can satisfy her, but then again to each his own.

Ok guys tell me what you think, am I over-reacting? And also I hear that once you go gay, there's no turning back i.e. if a man sleeps with a man, he becomes addicted to sex with men and vice versa…

Let's Discuss…
