I Never Wanted To Be DJ—DJ Spinall

When it comes to the business of disc jockey, one of the names that comes to mind in Nigeria is DJ Spinall. He has carved a niche for himself in his profession when most parents would not have allowed their children to think of a career in the industry.

But Sodamola Oluseye Desmond, his real name, disclosed that he never wanted to become a DJ because he was always ‘fixing’ things when he was growing up.

He told Kyslla that "I never wanted to be a DJ while growing up. What happened was that I am a fixer; I like to fix things that are not working right. Like when someone is sad, I want to fix that. When the road is bad, I want to fix that too.

"But along the line, music came in and took me off balance. I wanted to be an Engineer because I read Electrical Electronics Engineering. As a matter of fact, I am also studying for my Masters degree right now."
