Actors in Lagos elect new officers .
Tomorrow, the Theodore Chukwuka Anyanji-led electoral committee of the Actors' Guild of Nigeria Electoral Committee (AGNEC), will conduct the Actors' Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Lagos State Chapter.
The election which will take place at Calabar Hall, Ajao Road, Surulere, Lagos will begin at 10am.
The committee's mandate is to conduct election to fill up the positions of the out-going Ernest Obi led executives which is made up of Florence Onuma (Vice – Chairman), Donald Okoli (Secretary), Eki Obaseki and Tunde Alabi. Already screening of aspirants for various offices has been conducted. Some of the aspirants who have indicated interests in the office include Emeka Rising Ibeh, Emeka Duru and Emeka Bakays Nwafor.
Ayanji who was recently honoured at the fourth edition of the Nollywood Outstanding Personality Awards (NOPA) said the election would be a fair one. His words: “The election will be transparent, free and fair. Every qualified voter's vote will count and in the end of the exercise which we assure you will be credible, AGN, Lagos State Chapter will move to the next level.”
