Teni Clarifies Prostration In Greeting IBD Dende

By Oluwarantimi Oludase

Popular Nigerian singer, Teniola Apata, best known as Teni, has come out to justify her reasons for prostrating to greet popular socialite, Ibrahim Egungbohun Dende, best known as IBD Dende, on a plane recently.

Recall that a video of Teni prostrating to greet IBD Dende begun trending on social media, as many were quick to point out that the socialite is an alleged smuggler and Teni should not be associating with him and she should not have prostrated to greet a man.

Teni has come out to clarify the prostrating, as she revealed that she was in the dark on IBD Dende’s alleged smuggling crimes, and she stated that he had shown her support in 2014, before she became popular.

She wrote;
Met IBD [Dende] in 2014 and he was so good to me, even before I blew up. So when[ever] I see him, it’s always love.

“I honestly had no knowledge of any criminal activities associated with him. I do not support criminals, so let the law take its course.”
