Contrary to the rumour making the rounds that Ozidi king turned evangelist, Sonny Okosuns is dead, Entertainment Cafe can reveal authoritatively that he is hale and hearty. Speaking at his Ogba, Lagos residence, Okosuns said: “I am alive and kicking.” The founder of House of Prayer, said his health is very sound, asking “do I look like a diabetic patient? He told Entertainment Cafe that he will be going on tour of Anambra, Ebonyi and Bayelsa states from next week, while he will be performing in Awka for Andy Uba's Meet The People ceremony, perform for Ambassador Ogbuewu and Governor Jonathan Goodluck respectively. Evangelist Okosuns, who was having a meal of rice and fresh fish when Entertainment Cafe called at his residence on Wednesday, said: “I will be 60 on 1 January, 2007. I have also spent 35 years on stage and I am still active. The plan for my birthday bash was in progress when this rumour began to spread.” He said that those behind the rumour are wishing him long life and it will be the third time such rumours were peddled about his death: 1978, 1987 and now, adding, “thank God I am alive.”
