By Benjamin NJOKU

Ex-beauty queen and popular Nollywood actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima, who recently claimed to have given her life to Christ, after a brief stint at the maximum prison Kirikiri following a manslaughter case that left medical doctor, Mr. Suraj Giwa dead has dropped a single in reiteration of her commitment to move on with her life despite that traumatic experience.

The famous actress was sentenced to a five year jail term but was let out after the court had granted her bail.

“I have done a duet with Charles Granville on his new album 'Wired for Greatness” The song is titled 'Look Within.”

Granville who hails from Abonnema in Rivers State, started his music career 10 years ago as a Gospel singer in his Redeemed Christian Church of God as a provincial youth music director.” Ibinabo disclosed to Showtime in a message sent via e-mail.

According to the actress-turned-preacher, she decided to do this particular song because she's a testimony to the lyrics of the song.

“I met Charles some years ago and I listened to his music and liked it instantly. Thus I started following his works. I decided to do this particular song because I am a testimony to the lyrics of the song. I wasn't sure I could do it but he was patient enough to wait till I finally went to the studio to record. and I thank God I did.”

While Charles, she said composed the music, K-Solo produced the album. For her, Charles believed in her talent prompting his insistence to give her a chance to prove her mettle. “He believed in me, and he said the song gives me the chance to tell my story to the world. I chose to do this particular song because I actually feel it inside of me. I live it each day and what better way to tell the world about my new exciting faith in God.”

Ibinabo said, they are planning to do a music video, prior to releasing during this yuletide season.

The actress-turned-preacher gave her life to Christ while she was serving her jail term at Kirikiri Maximum Prison.
A former night club owner, Ibinabo took the bold step after she realised that the promises of Men were nothing but fake.

“I got born again when I was in prison. I discovered that the promises of man is fake. Yes, I'm spreading the word of God at every given opportunity. I visit schools in Port-Harcourt to talk to children about Christ. Each time I'm praying, I always ask God that whenever people see me, let them see the glory of God in me,” she muted in a recent interview.
