FIFA bans Adamu
Amos Adamu and Reynald Temarii have had their suspensions transmuted to bans and fines.
Claudio Sulser, the Head, Ethics Committee, in a press conference, stated that the two executive members were found guilty of contravening Articles 3 and 14 of FIFA's general rules.
Adamu and Temarii had been suspended on October 20, 2010 pending the end of these investigations. Adamu was banned from all football related activities for three years and fined 10,000 Swiss Francs, (N1.5million). Temarii was banned for a year and fined 5,000 Swiss Francs (N765, 000).
Other members of FIFA sanctioned by the committee include: Slim Aloulou from Tunisia, Amadu Diakite from Mali, Ahongalu Fusimalohi from Tonga and Ismael Bhamjee from Botswana, who was banned for four years.
