Fuji artiste and Action Congress (AC) stalwart in Lagos State, Wasiu Omogbolahan Anifowoshe, fondly called K1 de Ultimate, had debunked media reports that his eyes are set on one of the three Senatorial slots in Lagos.

Media reports had it that Wasiu Marshal, has hinted Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that he wanted to add 'Senator,' to his name and intended to succeed Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, in the Lagos East Senatorial District.
Miffed by the report, Wasiu, in an exclusive chat said: “Who in his right sense would have said anything like that. That I want to succeed Mamora? Mamora is of the Lagos East Senatorial District, I am of the Lagos West Senatorial District; I live in Okota,” he clarified.

Continuing, “I doubt if I have ever said to anybody that I am going to contest for any political office. I have never said that to anybody! No, whether dead or alive, I have never said to anybody.
“So, what are we talking about? I am an artiste, and also a politician. Nothing is hidden about that. I have my aspiration… to serve the people. But that I am saying all this does not mean that I have said to anybody that I am contesting for any political office,” he said
