Nollywood Actress Ada Emeh To Encourage Excellence In Schools

Nollywood actress, Ada Emeh, is at the verge of rolling out a new project that is intended to boost the educational system.

According to nollywoodgists.com source, the project, which is expected to take place in her home state, Benue, has to do with sharpening cognitive and affective skills of the students in secondary schools.

The project tagged Take it to the street comes under her production outfit Adylad Productions.

Speaking with nollywoodgists.com source, the actress, who came into limelight with her roles as Anita in the block buster movie Domitilla; where she acted as a humorous prostitute, noted that beside acting, she was interested in giving something back to the society.

Emeh said her passion for giving back to the society was what made her to come up with her new project, which is expected to inject some level of seriousness in students with regard to their studies.

She pointed out that, 'Take it to the streets' would among other things, set goals, ensure that seriousness, and competitiveness, propel students to excellence.

The actress noted that the talent hunt and reality show would be conducted in two different categories: One for junior secondary and another senior secondary school, with scholarship running into millions of naira for the first, second and third prize winners in both categories.

Ada explained that the sponsor of the project would be Ambassador Moses Oriri, Chief Executive officer of Oriri Global Resource, who according to her is a testimony that still uses upright men to touch the lives of the less-privileged in the society.

She also said that she was trying to bring the Benue State government to partner with her, and noted that the project would start before the end of the first quarter of 2010.
