Date Within Your Class – Toke Makinwa Advises Men, Women
Popular media personality and actress Toke Makinwa has advised both men and women to date within their age and class to avoid unnecessary conflicts.
Speaking on the MENtality podcast hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, she noted that many men leave their income brackets to chase women above them and later complain that women are materialistic.
The former OAP further argued that dating within one's class ensures peace, as the woman would not put pressure on the man and could even contribute financially. However, she lamented that some men still cheat on such women with others they cannot afford.
She also addressed the fear women have about dating men who have not yet achieved financial success, noting that money does not change people but reveals their true nature.
She said:
"I am a big believer of date within your age and within your class. That way there will not be stories that touch. You will have a good girl at home, a girl who will even make dinner with her own money when you don't have. Yet, some men will still want to cheat on her with a woman they can't afford.
"Heaven forbid you end up with a guy who hasn't blown. The day he blows that is when you will know his true personality. And that scares women. Money doesn't change people, it just reveal who the person is. So many men are treating women who sacrificed everything for them badly."
