Afrobeats singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has opened up on the reason he has decided to stay away from relationships from now.

Speaking in a candid interview with YouTuber Korty EO, he recounted his previous romantic relationship, noting how it was beautiful, however, he suffered manipulation from his girlfriend.

Rema stated that he was subjected to immense pressure from his previous relationship, claiming that it became too much at a point, leading him to end it abruptly.

He said:
“My romantic relationship was beautiful but a little quite manipulative. So much pressure. Knowing the world puts so much pressure on me but coming back home is where you want to feel relieved but when you come back home and you are getting more pressure, it’s a different story. For now, I’m done. "
