"You're Not Qualified For A Second Term" – Speed Darlington Tells President Tinubu
Controversial Nigerian singer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has expressed his disdain with President Tinubu's plan to contest for a second term in office, ahead of the 2027 presidential elections.
In a video broadcast on Instagram, Speed Darlington declared that the president is unqualified to contest for a second term following the assessment of his ongoing first term.
He faulted the President's immediate decision to remove fuel subsidy, thereby leading to hardship and constant inflation of petroleum products across the country.
He also pointed out the poor economic situation, the insecurity, and the unemployment rate across the country as factors that stands against President Tinubu's re-election.
He said:
"You are here breaking your neck to become the next President of Nigeria but you’re not qualified to be President again. From your first term, we already know that your second term is going to be hell fire."
“When you came to the office in 2023, the first thing you did was to remove the subsidy, knowing very well that everything about Nigerian life is attached to petroleum. Giving those in the oil section thousands of reasons to inflate fuel price, knowing fully well that Nigerians are naturally greedy. Just tell me, what qualifies you for a second term?
‘’You’re not qualified again, You don’t know the job. You haven’t done anything about the rising insecurity across Nigeria.”
