Singer Omawumi Opens Up On Transactional Nature Of Relationships
Nigerian singer and songwriter Omawumi, has weighed in on the transactional nature of relationships, shedding more light on it.
The veteran singer in a recent interview with Pulse, posited that from the beginning, love has always involved transactions.
She maintained that women have always been demanding for things; however, the difference between then and now is that the demands are now higher due to modernization.
According to her, previously one could impress a woman with little things, but the focus is now on valuable and expensive things. Omawumi added that the amplification of relationship is focused on the materialistic part, maintaining that it is the men who date high.
"Love has always been transactional. Women have always been demanding since the beginning of time. But during my youth, our transaction was different because you can impress your crush with just ice cream and popcorn. But now, it is iPhone."
