Bolaji Ogunmola Appeals To Public Against Watching Movies On Pirated Platforms
The conversation surrounding actors earning lifetime royalties from the movies they featured in, has been a subject of controversy and heated debate on social media.
Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported that filmmaker, Jade Osiberu, while reacting to a post from an X user, who shared how Kanayo O Kanayo clamoured for the payment of lifetime royalties for actors; she agreed sarcastically, urging actors to also prepare to offset the losses incurred in a movie production.
Adding her voice to the conversation, YouTube movie producer, Bolaji Ogunmola stressed that the call for actors to earn lifetime royalties cannot be successful unless netizens desist from watching movies on pirated platforms.
She mentioned two prominent platforms, such as Moviebox and Telegram, urging the public to avoid watching Nigerian contents on such pirated platforms.
"You can’t want lifetime royalties for actors and still be watching their film on pirated platforms now!!!! Ejoor now!!!! Please….. help us . Moviebox / telegram is not the place to watch Nigerian content. Help us."
