"I Feared My Child Might Have The Same Fate" – Bisola Aiyeola Opens Up On Struggle Following Unplanned Pregnancy
Nollywood actress and media personality Bisola Aiyeola has shared how she struggled to accept her fate, after getting pregnant out of wedlock.
Speaking in a candid interview with Tope Olowoniyan, the reality star disclosed that shame and fear crowded her, upon discovering her pregnancy status. She revealed that she was engaged at the time, but didn't eventually get married.
According to Bisola, her main fear was that her mother was also a single mother, and with her pregnancy –the chain was continuing, which could mean that her daughter would suffer the same fate.
She also added that the financial status of her family also compounded her fear, highlighting how she struggled to feed her daughter due to not being able to accept her new fate.
Bisola Aiyeola, however, noted that she gradually began to accept her fate, and she no longer regrets her decision.
“I was scared and ashamed of being pregnant and having a baby out of wedlock. I thought I was going to get married because I was engaged at that time but we never got married.
“So it was so shameful because my mum was a single mum and I am about to become one, I feared my child might also have the same fate."
