Kamo State Opens Up On Human Disappointment; Shares How It Strengthened His Reliance On God
Nigerian skitmaker and actor, Akinyoola Ayoola, better known as Kamo State, has opened up on his own share of human disappointment, and how it made him increase his trust in God.
The hilarious star shared a photo of himself on his Instagram page while recounting a recent disappointment. He explained that the disappointment made him helpless and in pain, as he had to isolate himself for three days, and feed on gospel music during the period.
Sharing the insights from the experience, Kamo State explained that it improved his connection with God and helped him understand his Maker better.
He also shared how creatives face internal battles, yet still keep showing up. Providing a latest update, he celebrated clocking 1 million followers on Instagram, in addition to a renewed confidence in himself, his dreams, and journey.
He wrote:
"Recently, I experienced a profound disappointment. It was a turning point, solidifying my reliance on God, not humans. The pain was intense, leading me to isolate myself for three days, something completely out of character for me. During the 3 days, I found solace in @officialbbo_ & @gracee_idowu songs. I couldn’t pray, only cry, questioning God about the nature of humanity, despite all the sacrifices.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
This period of reflection brought a powerful message that God often allows us to feel helpless before sending the right help. I’ve also forgiven the person who disappointed me because God wants us to forgive so we can receive our own blessings too. Some of the times we show up online as a creative, we are battling our own too. This experience has ignited a new confidence in myself, my dreams, and my journey. I am now fearless. We just hit 1 million organic followers on Instagram too! God is faithful, He won’t brought me this far to ignore me, He will see me through, wipe away my tears, and rewrite my story, ensuring I am not a subject of mockery or shame. This is a new chapter, a chapter of God’s takeover. Watch this space!."
