Woli Arole Condemns Rape, False Accusations
Popular Nollywood actor-turned-pastor, Bayegun Oluwatoyin, Woli Arole, has weighed in on the ongoing controversy surrounding the rape incident involving a Tiktoker, Mirabel.
On his Instagram page, the outspoken cleric condemned men who rape women, describing the act as "wrong." He also emphasized that false accusation of rape against a man is evil.
He noted how false allegations have led to the destruction of several lives, stressing that public apology after the act is not enough to redeem the harm that has been done.
He wrote:
"It's wrong for a MAN to RAPE a woman totally WRONG and it's EVIL for a woman to FALSELY ALLEGE a MAN that she RAPED HER!!!!. A lot of lives have been ruined because of FALSE ALLEGATIONS. PUBLIC APOLOGY is not ENOUGH, Aunty don't bother to LIE at ALL!!!!

Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported the trending alleged rape accusation, made by a TikToker and aesthetic vendor, Mirabel, who claimed she was raped in her apartment in Lagos by an unidentified individual.
In the now-viral video on Tiktok, Mabel on Monday, claimed that due to her struggle with sleeping, she drank herself to sleep, and that was when the incident occurred.
She also stated that due to being unable to grasp the brutality of the way she was sexually violated, she took a sniper.
Following the disclosure, the Lagos State Police Command and the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA), have reached out to her to get further updates.
The case has however taken another turn, as many X users are citing discrepancies in her claims, suggesting that she may be laying false accusation.
