"Every Step Forward Counts, Even When It Feels Insignificant” - Lateef Adedimeji Admonishes The Public On Patience During Growth
Popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Lateef Adedimeji, has advised the public on the importance of learning patience while trying to grow.
The award-winning movie star, via his Instagram page, urged the public to prioritize patience while on the path towards becoming someone they have never been before. He emphasized that growth takes time, and doesn't happen overnight.
He noted how people are often hard on themselves when they're trying to change who they are—he stated that learning something new is not always easy and it is important to note that every step forward counts, no matter how insignificant it may seem.
Lateef encouraged kindness, stressing that growth is more about courage, and less about speed, urging them to trust and be patient with the process.
He wrote:
“When you're on the path toward becoming someone you've never been before, it's important to be patient with yourself because growth doesn't happen overnight. It takes time.
You wouldn't expect to master a skill overnight.
You wouldn't rush a seed and demand it grow faster. Yet we're often hardest on ourselves when we're doing the most important work of all: changing who we are. Learning new ways of thinking, letting go of old patterns, finding the courage to live life true to ourselves and building strength to overcome challenges. Every step forward counts, even when it feels insignificant.
So be kind to yourself and remember that growth is less about speed and more about courage, trust and patience with the process.”
