Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has explained the reason behind his collaboration with his colleague on the hit song 'With You.'

Recall that Omah Lay had previously claimed that the 30BG boss hated him, not until Davido spoke about his songs during a livestream with American streamer Kai Cenat in Lagos.

Davido, while speaking in a viral video broadcast, explained that their interaction came up after he mentioned his songs during his livestream with Kai Cenat. He shared how he was drawn to the 'Reason' crooner's tweet about "hate," and he had to clear the misconception.

Davido further revealed that the interaction led them to have a conversation that brought about them collaborating on 'With You.'

Davido said:
"How Omah Lay and I got together was, Kai Cenat came to Nigeria and I was driving him to the club and then Omah Lay’s song comes up, and he was like, ‘Who is this?’

“I responded, ‘Oh! This is Omah Lay, he is hot.’ And then the next day, Omah Lay tweeted like, ‘Wow! Davido gave me a shoutout on a livestream, I thought he hated me.’ And I Dmed him, ‘Why would you think I hate you? We’ve never met.’

We eventually, exchanged numbers and we were going back-and-forth with music. We did about four songs and he chose ‘With You’ as the one we would release."
