"Thank You For Streaming" - Ckay Elated As 'Love Nwantiti' Hits 1 Billion Streams On Spotify
Nigerian singer, Chukwuka Ekweani, better known as Ckay, is celebrating an historic milestone in his musical career.
The singer's 2019 hit song 'Love Nwantiti' has now become the first solo African song to accumulate 1 billion streams on the streaming platform, Spotify.
Interestingly, Ckay, has also become the first male solo African artiste to achieve the milestone, setting two historic feats in the process.
An excited Ckay, via the popular microblogging platform, X formerly known as Twitter, expressed his joy at his new record. He expressed gratitude to his Maker, and everyone who has streamed his song.
He wrote:
"First solo nigerian song to cross 1 billion streams. Grateful to God and the people involved in this historic success! thank you for streaming."
