Popular Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing, has opened up on some challenges that plagued the beginning of her career in the movie industry.

NBS, as she is fondly called, made this revelation known during a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, sharing how despite being new to the industry, she was immediately given a script to sleep with a dog.

Explaining her next line of action, NBS, revealed that she rejected it outrightly, emphasizing that it would be a permanent stain on her image in the movie industry.

She, however, claimed that some ladies accepted the role, stating that she is unsure of their prominence in the movie industry today.

She said:
“Despite being a newcomer, I was given a script to sleep with a dog. I rejected it because I can’t start off my career like that. Imagine my first ever movie, I am sleeping with a dog. It doesn’t make sense. It is going to be a tag because whatever you start with is what people would associate you with. I didn’t want to be renowned as someone who sleeps with dogs in movies.

“So, I rejected that script. But immediately I threw it down, so many girls grabbed it. I’m not sure any of them are in the limelight today."
