Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Mercy Aigbe, is celebrating the final funeral rites of her late mother, Mrs. Abisola Grace Owodunni.

The Nigerian Voice recalls that Mercy Aigbe announced the passing of her mum, Abisola Grace Owodunni on Wednesday, September 24. She shared a candlelight on her Instagram page with crying emojis, while wishing her late mum to rest in peace.

The movie star, via her Instagram page on Saturday, November 29, shared a poster of her late mum, announcing the celebration of her life with praise and thanksgiving.

She revealed that her late mum lived with praise and thanksgiving, and would also want to be remembered through it.

Penning her tributes, Mercy Aigbe described her life as a "life of grace, a legacy of joy," urging her to rest well.

She wrote:
"Today, we celebrate Mommy with praise and thanksgiving...because that's how she lived, and that's how she would want to be remembered.
