"Celebrities Struggle With Deep Emotions And Struggles Like Everyone Else" - Iyanya Urges Public To Show Empathy
Popular Nigerian singer Iyanya, has appealed to the public to learn how to be empathetic towards celebrities.
The singer, via the popular microblogging platform, X formerly known as Twitter, emphasized that beyond the glitz and glam of celebrity lives, is a normal human who battles challenges and faces struggles, urging the public to understand this.
He further noted that it is tough for male celebrities to bounce back after any breakdown. He stressed that the societal pressure and belief placed on men, which makes them not to show vulnerability greatly affects the male celebrities.
He wrote:
"We need to understand that celebrities are human with deep emotions and struggles like everyone else.
“Beyond the glamorization is simply a person simply wishing to be human like the rest of us."
"For male celebrities, it is always difficult to bounce back after hitting a low point because men are wired to be stoic and not show vulnerability, Not to ask for help for fear of being seen as weak.”
