"Sleeping In Police Station On First Day Of Relocation To Lagos Almost Made Me Give Up" - Singer Fola Reveals
Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Folarin Odunlami, better known as Fola, has shared one of his lowest moments that almost made him quit his musical career
According to the 'Alone' crooner, on his first day in Lagos, he was arrested, detained, and made to sleep at the police station.
He stressed that it was a terrible experience that almost made him consider giving up, adding that it is a story he would not love to remember.
Fola made this known during a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM Lagos, sharing that although he initially struggled with Lagos' lifestyle, he has now adapted.
He said:
“I relocated to Lagos in 2018 to pursue my music career. It has been rough but… I wasn’t born here, so it was so hard at first but I have adapted to both the living conditions and the hustle.
“The very first day I came to Lagos, I assumed arrested. I slept at the police station. It was a long story. I don’t want to remember it. I almost gave up.”
