Singer Oxlade Urges Colleagues To Revert To 5 Minutes Songs
Nigerian singer, Ikuforiji Olaitan, popularly known as Oxlade, has urged his colleagues to increase the duration of their song.
The 'Kulosa' crooner took to the popular microblogging platform, X formerly known as Twitter to make the plea, urging his colleagues to hearken to his wish of releasing songs with duration of up to 5 minutes, in contrast to the 2 minutes duration used by Nigerian singers.
He wrote:
“Bring back 5 minutes songs."
Oxlade's appeal for the increase in the duration of songs can be seen as the wish of many Nigerians, who have been bemoaning the short time of Nigerian artistes songs in recent times.
