"All False Narratives Should Be Disregarded By The Public" - AY Makun Denies Plans Of Reconciliation With Mabel Makun
Popular Nigerian comedian and actor, Ayo Makun, aka, AY, has issued a strong warning to blogs spreading narratives and information of him trying to reconcile with his estranged wife, Mabel Makun.
The movie star took to his Instagram page to issue a disclaimer, and sent out a strong warning. He noted that he is aware of the false, incessant, and insensitive social media posts suggesting that he is on the verge of reconciling with his estranged wife, Mabel Makun.
He stressed that the publications are manipulated, with the sole aim of misleading the public, while gaining traffic and engagement.
Clarifying the claim, he emphasized that he had never made such statements, stating that he has the platform to disseminate his personal position on any matter.
Sending a final warning to the rumour peddlers, he urged them to desist from the act, while threatening to take legal action. He finally urged the public to disregard the false narrative.
He wrote:
"My attention has been drawn to a series of false, incessant, and insensitive social media posts suggesting that I am in a state of regret seeking reconciliation in my past relationship.
These publications are deliberately manipulative, calculated to mislead the public, and designed solely for traffic and engagement.
For clarity, I have never authorised or made any such statements.
If I wish to communicate my personal position on any matter, I have the platform, the reach, and the credibility to do so directly – not through faceless blogs and rumour-driven platforms.
This serves as a final warning: all such false narratives should be disregarded by the public.
Moving forward, the appropriate legal measures will be instituted against individuals, blogs, or platforms that continue to publish, promote, or circulate these defamatory stories.
Enough of the lies."
