"Why I Went On Nollywood Hiatus" - Nkechi Blessing
Popular Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing, has revealed the reason behind her hiatus from the movie industry.
The actress, who recently made an appearance in a recent episode of Curiosity Made Me Ask hosted by content creator, Bae U Barbie, explained that her decision to take a break from Nollywood was influenced by an anonymous person, who placed her on ₦1 million weekly salary.
According to her, the person made sure to know how much she was earning from acting, and doubled it in order for her to leave it during that moment.
She said:
“Someone anonymously put me on a ₦1 million weekly salary because I wasn’t getting paid enough for movie roles — that’s why I took a break from acting. I can’t shoot a movie and I might not even make up to ₦1 million profit from it."
