By Oluwarantimi Oludase

‎Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has criticized President Tinubu following his public address on the recent Benue killings.

‎Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported that around 200 people were killed in an attack on Yelwata, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State

‎Following the killings, many well-meaning Nigerians have been criticizing the government for failing to address the incessant killings, with many celebrities joining the public in calling out the government.

‎Taking to his Instagram page, Falz shared a screenshot of the President's address, slamming him for consistently showing incapability at performing his primary duty of securing lives and property of Nigerians.

‎Additionally, Falz stressed that it is time to avoid not paying attention to the recent killings plaguing some regions in Nigeria, noting how the death of 200 people in Benue State should not have happened.

‎Further criticizing President Tinubu, Falz stated that no one forced him to be in office, reiterating that the Federal government's primary duty is to secure the lives and property of its people.

‎Falz wrote:
‎"You have consistently shown that you are incapable of performing the primary duty of securing lives and property of your citizens. This routine statement does not cut it.

‎Enough of us not paying attention and moving on like it's nothing. Enough of these routine statements that mean absolutely nothing. Nobody deserves to be wasted away like the 200 plus people in Benue state. Enough of these horrific crimes without consequences.

‎No one forced you to be in office. The primary duty of the Federal government, through all of its agencies is to secure lives and property of its people."
