‎Popular veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie, has thrown her weight behind self-acclaimed activist, VeryDarkMan, following his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

‎The Nigerian Voice reported on Friday, that popular human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, via his X handle, announced the arrest of VeryDarkMan by the police at GTB.

‎Deji Adeyanju further released a preliminary statement on Friday evening, which clarified that VeryDarkMan was in the custody of the EFCC in Abuja.

‎Reacting to VeryDarkMan's arrest, Rita Edochie, via her Instagram page stated that she is not exaggerating, but VeryDarkMan is the only young man who is societally outstanding. She stressed that if he is silenced, no other person is ready to take his place, and lend their voice for Nigerians.

‎She further clamored for his release, while emphasizing that nothing must happen to him, else, the youths are finished.

‎She wrote:
