Asake Reacts To Father's Accusation Of Neglect
Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has reacted to the accusation of neglect against him by his rumoured father, Fatai Odunsin.
Sharing a freestyle video on social media in which he could be heard singing in Yoruba, Asake stressed that it is impossible to please humans. He noted that whatever good one does, it should be for God.
Asake sang in Yoruba and English:
"You can’t please humans, you can’t please the world. Whatever you do, do it for God. My own father wants to cajole me even though I have always sent him a lot of money. I have struggled for so many years, yet they want to make life hard and exhausting for me."
The Nigerian Voice recalls that Fatai Odunsin, rumoured to be the father of popular Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, called out the singer for allegedly neglecting him.
In a now-viral video circulating online, Fatai accused Asake of abandoning him since March 2022, when his battle with stroke began.
He claimed that he has repeatedly tried calling the singer, but Asake has refused to answer his calls. Fatai appealed to Nigerians for financial support to help him cope with his illness.
