The wife of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, Omowunmi Aloba, has revealed that she met her late husband for the first time 12 years ago on a popular social media platform at the time, 2Go

According to her, she met Mohbad when they were both teenagers about 12 years ago on social media app 2Go. She revealed that they started off as friends before becoming lovers.

Omowunmi made this revelation during a recent interview with TVC.

Omowunmi said:
"I met him when I was 13 on 2Go. That was 12 years ago. I used to be a rapper and he sang, too, so we started as friends. We were very young then. He was 15. He proposed relationship to me and I accepted. We later got married and had a child together.”

The Nigerian Voice recalls that Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, and the cause of his death remains unconfirmed. However, suspicions have been directed at his former record label boss, Naira Marley, and his associate, Sam Larry.
