Popular Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, best known as Burna Boy, has explained the reason for assaulting a fan on the stage.

Recall that Burna Boy sparked outrage on social media after a viral video emerged of him assaulting a fan and exiting the stage immediately after a fan tried to get close to him on stage at the 2025 Lagos Countdown concert.

Taking to his Instagram story, Burna Boy revealed that the reason he assaulted the fan was because he has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and he has warned fans to stop getting on his stage during his performance.

"It was a free show. I was supposed to do 10 minutes and did almost one hour. Everybody knows my rule about getting on stage and startling me when I’m performing.

“I had an amazing time with Lagos State last night. Don’t jump on my stage like that! I got PTSD. I love you all. Happy new year.”
