Grammys: Nigerians Dominate Best African Music Performance Category
The organizers of the 67th Grammys awards nominations have released nominees for award ceremony.
Interestingly, the Best African Music Performance is totally dominated by Nigerians, with an exception to American artiste, Chris Brown, who owns a song with Nigerians.
Announcing the nominees for the Best African Music Performance on Friday, November 8, the recording academy nominated ‘Tomorrow’ by Yemi Alade, ‘MMS’ by Asake featuring Wizkid, ‘Sensational’ by Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay, ‘Higher’ by Burna Boy, and ‘Love Me JeJe’ by Tems.
This is proof that Afrobeats and more importantly Nigerian artistes are now being globally recognized.
