Speed Darlington's Lawyers Clarify Clients Video Of Burna Boy
The legal team of controversial singer, Darlington Okoye, best known as Speed Darlington or Akpi, have clarified the air on their client's video of Burna Boy.
Recall that Speed Darlington sparked uproar on social media when he shared a video holding a baby oil, and insinuated that Burna Boy was involved romantically with embattled American rapper, Diddy. He further suggested that Burna Boy's relation with Diddy made him win the Grammys.
In response, Burna Boy had the singer locked up for days in prison, before the intervention and of human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, got him out of prison.
Following the online ruckus, Speed Darlington's legal team have now published a written statement to address the issue between their client and Burna Boy.
They noted that their client's video of Burna Boy was nothing serious, and only a kere joke, which they thought would not be taken to mind.
Furthermore, they explained that the video was not made to defame Burna Boy, while admitting that they did not expect it to go viral as such.
The singer's legal team noted that their client never had any intent towards Burna Boy's mother, and if any of what he said in the viral video looked as such, it should not be taken into consideration.
Concluding, they revealed that Speed Darlington has tried to settle things amicably with Burna Boy in private.
