Popular American singer, Lady Gaga has explained the reason why she refused to address transgender rumours.

She explained her reason during a recent interview with Variety. She revealed that addressing the rumours of being transgender would make people who are transgenders to feel ashamed.

She said:
"I didn’t feel like a victim with that lie and I thought: What about a kid who is being accused of that who would think that a public figure like me would feel shame?

“I’ve been in situations where fixing a rumour was not in the best interest and the well-being of other people."
