Popular Controversial veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, has described monogamy as something he does not really believe in.

The actor made his opinion about monogamy on the latest episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, where he stated that monogamy is not part of African tradition and it was introduced by foreigners

Speaking further, he also stated that he never saw a case of divorce until he moved to Lagos from the South East, he stated that Igbos do not divorce.

He said;
“I don’t believe in one wife. It is not our culture. It is not our tradition. It is not who we are. These are imported things.”

I never knew anything about divorce until we came to Lagos. The Igbo man prefers to die in the marriage than divorcing."
