Popular Nigerian filmmaker, Charles Okpaleke has spoken on gender equality among couples in marriage.

The filmmaker took to his Instagram account to say that many men long for wives who are supportive and helpful, but also long for both of them to share financial responsibilities.

He revealed that this action could lead to disregard from the woman as they both take up financial responsibility.

To further emphasize his point, he said; “You want her to be loyal,You want her to be submissive, You want her to be soft, You want to split bills 50/50, You will push her into survival mode, It’s basic human instinct…”
