Popular Nigerian controversial actor turned pastor, Yul Edochie has shared his one piece on the trending Nigerian slang ‘No Gree For Anybody. ‘

Yul Edochie took to his Instagram account on Monday, January 29, 2024. He advised his followers from having the wrong misinterpretation about the ‘no gree for anybody ‘ slang. He advised his followers not to use the slang as a means of physical confrontation.

He further revealed that the slang was advising people to stand against intimidation and a source of motivation for many person's.

The actor turned pastor further advised Nigerians to use the slang as a popular blue print for motivation and use it as a source of determination to succeed.

He said:"No gree for anybody doesn’t mean you should go about fighting people everywhere. No gree for anybody means: Don’t let the devil defeat you. Don’t let anybody intimidate you no matter your status. Never feel inferior to anybody. Never give up, keep working hard. Don’t let hate & jealousy take over your heart, fill it with love. Don’t let anybody tell you how to live your life. No room for negativity, positive vibes only."

The slang went viral in December 2023 and has become a popular slang among Nigerians in 2024. Though the slang symbolizes independence and perseverance in the face of difficulties.

However, due to the use of the slang anyhow by Nigerians. The Nigerian Police issued a warning on January 11, 2024 on it's use, stating that the adverse effect the slang could cause among the youth could be crises.
