Fear As Driver Bites Off The Left Ear Of A VIO Officer Over Expired Vehicle Papers

A young driver has created a tragic scene in Warri, Delta state after he reportedly bit off the right ear of a Vehicle Inspection Officer's (VIO) over an argument bordering on Vehicle papers.

It happened during an exchange over expired particulars in the early hours of June 30, 2023, along Eagle Roundabout, by Federal Government College in Warri.

The victim identified as Papu Prosper disclosed that they apprehended a young driver while he and his boss were on a patrol in Warri, Deta.

Having stopped the young driver, his boss instructed him to check-up the driver's papers and other vehicle-related documents. The driver who remained stubborn to him and rejected him from ransacking him threatened to bedevil him.

In a short while, they entered a heated argument and the driver brought out a dagger and attempted to stab him. As the officer struggled to deflect the stab, the driver made for his ear and bit it off.

According to Prosper, “I am a Vehicle Inspection Officer. We went for a patrol in Warri, Delta State where we apprehended a driver whose car particulars have expired.

In the process, my boss told me to follow him to our office in Warri to confirm whether his particulars are up to date or not.

While following the man, he said he will k#ll me, that the VIO has done a lot. So he brought out a dagg£r & was trying to b¥tch£r me into pieces. I struggled to get out of the vehicle as it was on speed. In the process, I fought him & he bit off my ear,” the VIO said.
