Iyanya, the Nigerian musician, has opened up about his decision not to pursue marriage, stating that it is scary for him. This comes years after his breakup with Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson, which was due to their inability to spend time together.

Iyanya, who was once a hustling boy and could make N2 million from four shows in a day, stated that he is not against the idea of being in a serious relationship or getting married but needs to sort out his life first. He believes that it is crucial to have a solid foundation and grip on each other before involving a partner, as it can be challenging to adjust to each other's lifestyles.

Iyanya also talked about his reconciliation with his former partner, Ubi Franklin, saying that they had settled a long time ago, but social media tends to blow things out of proportion.

“We broke up because we hardly had time for each other. So, it’s like every time she flies from Ghana to Nigeria during the time that I dropped ‘Kukere’, I was always hustling, I would do four shows in a day and I would make N2 million because I was a hustling boy. And any call at any time, I was going for shows. So, I won’t say because I was in love with a woman, where I’m going to see money, I will stay back,” Iyanya was quoted as saying back then.
