AY Makun, The popular stand-up Nigerian comedian, has reassuringly told the Nigerian public that his colleague, Basketmouth is his person and friend.

This statement by AY has been received with another spirit by the Nigerian public. This is because Comedian AY and his colleague are apparently having grudges that is yet to be resolved.

Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported about the wrangle between the two celebrities. The nature of their relationship was first exposed when AY had in an interview and addressed the 17-year old beef between him and Basketmouth.

In the interview AY disclosed that the exodus of their wrangle was when he worked for Basketmouth in 2006 and he was deprived of wages for the work he delivered.

The comedian also recounted how his colleague, Basketmouth denied him of entry into the hall of his wedding ceremony.

However, in several cases just after AY's interview, Basketmouth has come out to tell the public that there's no love lost between him and AY. He also disclosed that he would never have anything to do with AY.

In a recent comedy show, the issue was tabled once again as the comedian whose real name is Richard Makun send a note of peace offering.

He stated that their relationship is not beefed while sighting examples like the case of Tupac Shakur and B.I.G in the 1990s which can be called such.

AY Makun concluded the show by saying, “if you see Basketmouth, tell him he’s my gee for life.”
