Gangs of Lagos is Prime Video first African Original and it has been much anticipated film. During the media briefing of the film before the film premiere in Lagos, Nollywood actress, Chioma Akpotha discusses the challenges of playing the character of a mother in the film.

She highlighted that upon getting the script, she saw how so much her Character can make or mar the film and this put fear in her in working towards doing her best for the film production.

In the film trailer that has been in the public domain, Chioma Akpotha is seen screaming, "Isale Eko no go rest". The actress is seen to have done so well with her character and many look forward to her interpretation of the character Mama Ify on Prime Video first African Original which premieres on Prime Video on the 7th of April 2023.
