Iretiola Olusola Doyle, a Nigerian actress, entertainer, TV presenter, writer and a public speaker has spoken about her being officially divorced with her husband, veteran actor and broadcaster, Patrick Doyle.

The disclosure of her divorce was revealed by Iretiola Doyle in her interview with popular media personality, Chude Jideonwo.

During the interview, Chude asked the actress why she is scarcely seen with her husband veteran actor, Patrick Doyle, she responded rather reluctantly that she is officially divorced.

However, she also reiterated during her conversation with Chude that it is absurd for anoyone to think that she should engage speculations about her relationship or personal life. She said that nobody is entitled to the knowledge of her personal life.

Delving into her life’s journey, the actress also corrected the false impression that she had her first child at age 17. She stated that she was 19.

Explaining further how she suffered physical and domestic violence as a teen, Ireti noted that she has no business with marriage when she became a mother.

Sharing the interview video on her Instagram page, the actress wrote, “We are officially divorced.”

“The truth of the matter is that I had no business being married at that time, talk less of going to the choice of who I got married to,” she said.

The mother of four have moved out from her husbands' to her apartment at Anthony Village in Lagos.

She added, “I’m sorry if I contributed to shattering your image of love and a perfect couple, but my life is not an animation; I cannot sacrifice my life at the alter of your imagination or your fantasy.

So if I hurt anybody I’m sorry but I have to choose me. I’d say (the marriage) was a picture, a pretty picture, and there was a wide lacuna between the picture and reality.”
