American Gospel Singer Is A Nigerian, His DNA Proves It
Popular American gospel singer, Lecrae has just discovered that he is a Nigerian and has given himself a Nigerian name, Adewale Obinna.
The gospel musician disclosed the nationality his ancestors belong to in his post on Instagram page.
According to him, DNA tests which were carried out showed that his ancestors were from Nigeria and that when he had visited the country, he had experienced love and kindness from Nigerians.
Nevertheless, having found out that he is Nigerian, he gave himself a suitable name, Adewale Obinna - the name is however a combination of both Yoruba and Igbo.
His post read:“First time in Nigeria. My DNA test confirms this is one of the countries my ancestors were brought from. I have experienced love like none other. Care, kindness, grace, and love.
I came here as LECRAE. But my Nigerian name is Adewale Obinna.”
