Just In! Ghanian Comedienne Sentenced To Jail
Ghanian commentator and Comedienne, Afia Schwarzenegger has reportedly been sentenced to jail by a High Court in Tema for contempt.
According to reports from a Court In Ghana, the Ghanaian social media commentator has been sentenced to 10 days imprisonment.
Significantly, Afia's sentence emanated from the fact that she claimed on UTV's United Showbiz program to have had affairs with the Ashanti Regional chairman of the new patriotic party.
Nevertheless, this claim didn't go down well with the regional chairman as he categorically debunked the allegation and then proceeded to sue for defamation.
Thereafter,he dragged Afia Schwarzenegger, the host of the United Showbiz program (Nana Ama McBrown) and panelists Kwame A-Plus and Mr Logic to court.
In a verdict on Thursday December 1, by the High Court “B”, Tema, the Ghanaian socialite was convicted and sentenced for contempt.
Speaking on UTV, Afia is said to have described the court suit as useless and insisted that she has had sex with the applicant throughout their 16-month amorous relationship. She also used unprintable words on the applicant (Chairman Wontumi) on the same show.
