The news flying in the air some few weeks ago on alleged mental illness of veteran Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji stirred the internet abuzz. According to rumours mongers, the delectable actor was admitted to an undisclosed hospital in the US for treatment on mental state.

However, the younger brother, Stephan Nnaji took to his IG to break the silence on the matter. His brief post reads, "it can happen to anyone. "

According to him, the sister was not admitted based on any drug related illness or mental stress as mentioned. He said the sister is undergoing a time to resuscitate and rest from a hectic schedule which caused her to unfollow her friends and fans and prevented her from attending Rita Dominic wedding as well as Ini Edo 40th birthday.

Nnaji appealed to members of the public and press to pray for his sister and desist from sharing false news as it is disheartening to hear such issues.

" there is no such thing as mental or drugs related issues in our family. Never in the past or not in the future. Pls disregard any such frivolous talks and wish my sister well, he said"
