NIGERIAN MAN KILLED IN DRUG-RELATED RAID BY DUTCH POLICE
The Dutch police staged an intervention in the Bijlmer in Amsterdam South East this afternoon. In the search for hard drugs, they raided the Kikkenstein flat building.
Two men tried to escape by jumping from the 5th floor, they are tonight in a critical condition. A Nigerian man jumped to his death from the 9th floor.
Four others jumped or fell off the balcony of another flat building. Four men have been apprehended and held in custody.
De Bijlmer is a notorious neighbourhood from the Amsterdam South East borough where cheap social housing is home to various ethnicities characterised by low-income families, high crime rates, drugs trafficking and illegal immigrants.
