Some Nigerian Singers are not proud of their Dialect…BBN Star, Gifty Blasts
Former Big Brother Naija housemate cum actress, Gifty, has joined some Nigerians to criticize the kind of sounds being produced by some artistes in the country.
The actress stated that Nigerian artistes rather than create their own sounds have chosen to copy that of the Ghanaians which is not healthy for the industry.
She gave credit to the likes of singer, Adekunle Gold, Flavour, Phyno and Olamide who have tried at ensuring that they sell their craft through the use of indigenous language.
According to her, “I will say this again and again that it’s a shame how Ghana tune has taken control of one’s track. Give me one specific reason why Ghana tune must be your track? Can’t we be proud of our dialect? Twale to Adekunle Gold, Olamide, Phyno and Flavour.”
